A number of hate-related attacks in Brooklyn have prompted a group called Get Organized BK to speak out and stand together.
Concerned neighbors in Windsor Terrace are protesting to stand up against hate crimes. The Brooklyn activists have teamed up to remind commuters that there's a network of people fighting against hate and intolerance, and working to come together as a community.
The group is using #standagainsthate to rally new efforts, and remind others through social media that their voices will be heard.
More peaceful protests are expected to be organized in the coming weeks.
