Bronx pediatrician provides advice for National Childhood Obesity Week
3ds agoA green market in Fordham is bringing fresh produce to the Bronx all summer long.
The market, located on E. 192nd Street, just off of the Grand Concourse, is being run courtesy of Grow NYC. It's bringing fruits, veggies and more to the Fordham neighborhood near Poe Park.
"It's good to have fresh stuff, it's fresh from the ground," said one resident. "When I used to live back home in the Caribbean, my grandma used to serve us fresh stuff fromt the ground so it reminds me of that."
The market is open every Tuesday until Nov. 26.
