The Guardian Angels are pitching in to help keep the community safe as the search continues for the person responsible for vandalizing four Bronx synagogues.
Members of the group came together outside of the Hebrew Institute of Riverdale to promise the Jewish community that they’ll stand with them after they were targeted and several of their synagogues were vandalized.
The Guardian Angels say they will now be patrolling overnight until the person responsible is caught.
Video shows some of the vandalism at Chabad of Riverdale, which was vandalized twice.
It’s one of the five different locations in the neighborhood where windows were smashed between last Thursday and Saturday.
Police say they’re looking for the person in the video in about seven different incidents. Police say the man is accused of breaking windows at each location.
The Guardian Angels are hoping that their patrols will help prevent the attacks from happening again.
