News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Darryl Green says the heat wave continues, with a heat advisory active through the weekend. That advisory ends Sunday at 8 p.m. An air quality statement is in effect until 11 p.m. and a rip current statement is in effect for ocean beachgoers as a high risk for rip current development persists.
Tonight: Chance of evening showers and storms, a warm night. Lows from the mid- to upper-70s.
Saturday: Mostly sunny and hot, highs from the upper-80s to the mid-90s.
Sunday: Sun and clouds, hot and humid. Highs from the mid- to upper-90s (potential heat index from the upper 90s to 103. Winds southwest to south from 10 to 20 mph. Record of 97 set in 2010).
Sunday Night: Slight chance of evening showers and storms. Lows from the upper-70s to the mid-80s.
Monday: Partly to mostly cloudy, hot and humid. Scattered afternoon showers and storms. Highs from the upper-80s to the low-90s.
Monday Night: Possible evening showers and storms. Lows from the low- to mid-70s.
Tuesday: Partial clearing and warm. Highs from the mid- to upper-80s.
Wednesday: Partly sunny, hot and humid, highs from the mid-80s to the low-90s, winds north to south from 5 to 10 mph.
