Heavy rain and strong winds tore through the city and left a path of destruction Tuesday afternoon for some parts of the Bronx and Manhattan.
A tornado warning was even issued for the Bronx, Westchester and Nassau County.
Several cars were crushed by a falling tree on Kingsbridge Road. News 12 spoke to a witness who says she lives in an apartment building next to where the tree came tumbling down and described the incident as fast. She says she didn’t witness anyone get injured.
The fire department chopped up the fallen tree parts into chunks. News 12 has reached out to the FDNY to confirm that there were no injuries.
