The countdown to Election Day is on and News 12 is making sure you have all the information you need to get out and vote.
Thousands of voters are expected to come out and cast their ballots on Tuesday. The governor's seat is up for grabs, as well as Congress members and state senators.
Today is the last day to apply for a general election ballot in person. It’s also the last day to request an absentee ballot in person at your local board of elections office.
The city has seen tens of thousands of New Yorkers turn out to vote early already. More than 39,000 people cast their ballots in the Bronx and over 135,000 people cast their ballots in Brooklyn, according to the NYC Board of Elections.
There are also a few questions to look out for on the back of the ballot that have to do with the environment and racial equity.
Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
