The Hindu community of the Bronx gathered Sunday afternoon to celebrate Phagwah.
The religious holiday marks the beginning of spring and the triumph of good over evil.
Attendees wear white to represent purity as they throw rainbows of powder in the air and on each other.
They often embrace one another with a palm full of the shaded power and give each other a kiss as a sign of unity.
The event was hosted by Lotus Flame - a restaurant in the Bronx.
