History of West Africa told through dance, rhythm, song and theater

The sounds of traditional West African Dance movements were part of the Juneteenth celebrations that took place Monday at the New Rochelle Public Library.    
The Bokandeye African American Dance Theater gave a workshop that told the history of West African through dance, rhythm, song and theater.
           
The events were the last of several that occurred throughout the weekend to celebrate Juneteenth - the end of slavery in the U.S.
