The Hofstra men’s basketball team is going dancing!

For the first time in 25 years, the Pride is heading back to the NCAA tournament.

Hofstra earned their bid Tuesday night by beating Monmouth in their conference championship.

Freshman Preston Edmead -- who hit a game-winning buzzer beater in the semifinals -- scored 26 points in the finals.

The final score was 75-69.

Head coach Speedy Claxton is leading the team to March Madness 25 years after he went as a player.

"This is a special moment for you guys. I hope you guys realize that. This will forever bond you guys,” Claxton said.

Hofstra has 24 wins in all this season and now waits for selection on Sunday.
