A fire broke out at a vacant house in Harding Township on Shalebrook Drive early this morning.

The home’s isolated position off Route 202 with only one narrow road for access, has complicated firefighting efforts.

Mutual aid water trucks have been seen navigating the roadway to support first responders working to control the flames.

Smoke from the fire is visible and detectable to travelers on nearby I -287.

The Harding Police Chief Michael Gromek tells News 12 there was a fire at the home earlier this week and that's why the house was vacant today. Gromek says today’s blaze may have been a reignition of the previous fire but that has not been confirmed.

News 12’s Tony Caputo is on scene providing updates.
