A new housing lottery has opened applications for apartments in Mount Hope.

The new housing lottery is located at 130 E. 177 Street and offers 24 units.

Residents need to make at least $84,000 a year to qualify.

The building includes a rooftop terrace, gym, and is close to schools and public transit. Residents who live in the area say its not realistic rent for them to pay.

"If you don't get a good paying job, you're living with a paycheck to paycheck. So. it's basically not affordable housing for me" said Mount Hope resident Brenda.
