Many residents decided to flock to their local pools to stay cool on Tuesday, as the hot and muggy weather has descended across the five boroughs with feel-like temperatures in the triple digits in many areas.

All New York City public pools are open one hour later to help New Yorkers accommodate to the sweltering heat. Hours at 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
