The NYPD says human remains discovered near Jackie Robinson Parkway have been identified, and the chief medical examiner deemed the death a homicide.

Police named the victim as 27-year-old Christina G. Purdie, of Brooklyn.

A Department of Transportation worker discovered the skeletal remains of Purdie on Aug. 6 in a grassy area off the parkway near Vermont Place in Queens, according to the NYPD.

Police previously released images of jewelry and a tattoo found on Purdie, along with an approximate age and height, as part of a lengthy effort to identify her.

Additional details about Purdie’s death have not been released. No arrests have been made.

The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
