Hundreds march side by side throughout NYC, express frustration about police brutality

Hundreds of New Yorkers gathered at Prospect Park and later marched to the Barclays Center Sunday in an organized and peaceful protest, demanding justice for George Floyd, an unarmed black man who was killed by a white police officer during an arrest.

Hundreds of New Yorkers gathered at Prospect Park and later marched to the Barclays Center Sunday in an organized and peaceful protest, demanding justice for George Floyd, an unarmed black man who was killed by a white police officer during an arrest. 
News 12’s Phil Taitt says protesters shouted ‘Black Lives Matter’ and told News 12 that’s what they will continue to scream because they continue to see police brutality, racism and discrimination in their community.

Many of the protesters expressed that they feel like their lives have not mattered. 
Protesters called the names of the many people who have died in recent weeks. 
They lined the streets of Flatbush Avenue and made their way to the Manhattan Bridge. 
 
Protesters held signs that expressed their frustration, and how police brutality has gone on for way too long. 
They say they hope these last few days of protests will spark a change.
