With Thanksgiving one week away, the Tracy Towers hosted its annual turkey drive alongside Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson.
The line for turkeys wrapped around the entire floor, and Gibson says thanks to various sponsorships, 250 families will have turkey at their dinner table next week.
“The cost of food is so high, you don’t know how anybody affords a loaf of bread or carton of milk anymore, so we’re glad we’re able to do this,” said Jean Hill, president of Tracy Towers.
The borough president says her office will be holding other turkey drives across the Bronx leading up to Thanksgiving.
