Among those voting for the next Bronx borough president is Councilmember Fernando Cabrera who was out casting his ballot early today.
He hopes to be the next Bronx borough president. He and his wife headed over to the Kensington building in the Fordham Hill complex to cast their ballots. The process took just minutes, and Councilmember Cabrera told News 12 he's feeling confident.
"Everywhere I'm going, it doesn't matter which part of the Bronx, the voter confidence is so high and I think people are starving for leadership. I am looking forward to 9 o'clock tonight. We are coming out victorious with the hope of our people so we can power our people back," Cabrera says.
Councilmember Cabrera is running against four other opponents. The polls close at 9 p.m. tonight.
