INTEMPO celebrated a quinceañera-style event with pinks and flowers to stay in theme, as it hit a major milestone of 15 years in operation.
Hosted at The Village in Stamford, the event highlighted the organization’s mission of expanding access to high-quality music education for under-resourced youth. It also provides college preparation and other resources to assist students who may be(((is this what you were trying to say?))) immigrants feel more at home.
The evening featured live performances by INTEMPO students, refreshments, dancing and auctions.
The keynote speaker was Jordan Salama, author and contributor to The New Yorker and known for his writing on Latin American culture and storytelling.
Proceeds from the event will go toward program expansion efforts to support the next generation of young musicians.
