The New York Caribbean Carnival was held Labor Day, providing residents an opportunity to celebrate their culture.

"It's the one day out of the year we get to really release ourselves, be who we are, represent our culture, our nationality," said one resident.

"I love to see people come out and enjoy themselves, with their different flags, different colors. Especially costumes. It means a lot to me, and I love it," added another.
