The Manhattan Jaspers are looking to Bronx natives for a fresh start after losing great players and their head coach last season.MAAC Coach?s preseason poll ranks the Manhattan Jaspers in sixth place for the upcoming season. The Jaspers? new Head Coach Barry Rohrssen is confident the new squad will play well with contributions from junior Arturo Dubois and sophomore Devon Austin. Dubois averaged 15 points a game last year while Austin averaged 7.6 points. They are expected to fill big shoes left by four of the Jaspers top scorers, who averaged 48 combined points per game last season.Dubois and Austin were selected as All-MAAC players. They will get their chance to shine in the Manhattan Jaspers men?s basketball opening game Wednesday.
