Teacher Michael Bonick tasked his students to write about their lives in quarantine ... similar to what Bon Jovi asked his fans to do on social media. That's when Mr. Bonick got in contact with the musician’s assistant to set up a video chat.
The singer last month released an incomplete version of his song "Do What You Can" about the nation's coronavirus battle.

He asked fans to submit some verses, and Mr. Bonick submitted some of the students' writings. Thanks to him, and Bon Jovi, they helped turn the children’s writing assignments into rock songs.
"I thought maybe if you want, I could sing you a couple of the lines that you guys sent me and I could put them into a melody for a song I had written,” says Bon Jovi.

Bon Jovi loved what he saw, joined the class for the day and sang some of the verses they had written.
Mr. Bonick says when he started teaching online, he never imagined Bon Jovi would join and sing to his class, but he says it's something he and his students will treasure forever.
