Family and friends are remembering the Bronx teen who was brutally murdered in June 2018 for what would have been his 18th birthday.
The family and friends of Lesandro “Junior” Guzman-Feliz, who would have turned 18 today, are holding a special Mass in his honor at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Manhattan.
Guzman-Feliz was murdered by a gang when he was just 15 years old. Police say he was killed when he was reportedly mistaken for a rival gang member. Five gang members were convicted of first-degree murder.
“I wish I had my son here, but he’s not here right now,” says Junior’s mother, Leandra Feliz. “So the violence and the bad people on the street decide to destroy life.”
