There is another delay in the trial of a Center Moriches man and his estranged girlfriend who were charged in the 2020 death of the man’s 8-year-old son.
Jury selection was set to begin next week in the case of Michael Valva and Angela Pollina.
The ex-NYPD officer and his former fiancé are facing murder and child endangerment charges for allegedly forcing the boy to sleep in their freezing cold garage.
Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney says because the state court system is still mandating masks and social distancing, the judge is pushing back jury selection until May 25.
