News 12 is hitting the ice at the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club in the Bronx.

During the week, the rink is open to Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club members. It's free to join the club. The area is open to the whole community on Saturdays.

"For $5, you can come in, get a pair of skates, skate and enjoy some real family time with your children," says Daniel Quintero, the executive director of the rink.

If you're interested in taking a hockey clinic, practicing your figuring skating or just getting comfortable on the ice, Quintero says there's something for everyone.

The Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club rink is open from the end of October through mid-April.
