Bronx livery cab drivers are on edge due to a knife-wielding man who has robbed six drivers in six weeks since August.
Police say the suspect, who has a tattoo of a crown on his neck, has mainly been operating in the northwest section of the borough. Authorities say three of the robberies occurred on Mosholu Parkway and one cab driver was injured in a struggle.
Many drivers say while they are aware of the danger, they have to take the chance that their next fare could be the robber. Cabbie Victor Javier says his bills won?t allow him to stop picking up customers.
Authorities urge anyone with information about the robberies to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
