Labor Day sales gave retailers and customers alike reason to skip barbecues and head to stores to take advantage of great bargains.
News 12 was at The Mall at Bay Plaza, where lines started to form before the mall even opened, to check out the sales and talk with shoppers.
"The expensive things are basically half off, like Michael Kors and Pagoda jewelry," said one shopper.
Most retail stores were offering up to 80 percent off, and for many shoppers it was the ultimate score.
