Elected leaders from New York City and across the state are calling on the federal government to help Puerto Rico recover from the aftermath of Hurricane Fiona. 
State Sen. Luis Sepulveda was joined by other elected officials today, calling on the White House to provide money they say Puerto Rico needs to rebuild their infrastructure. 
"It's time to treat our fellow Americans in Puerto Rico the way we are all treated," said state Sen. Michael Gianaris. "The leadership of the Senate is going to do whatever is necessary to help the people in their time of need in Puerto Rico."
