Employees at a home for mentally handicapped Bronx residents say they are disgusted by the residents? living conditions. The employees at the Life Adjustment Center on Findlay Avenue say water leaks through the windows, ceilings and walls when it rains. They worry the conditions are a hazard to the residents, some of whom are wheelchair bound and frail. Employees think the flooding is caused by the building?s leaking roof. They say they have been complaining about the problem for years. The building owners have come to patch up the leaky walls, but employees say it?s only a temporary fix. The landlord says a representative from the Division of Housing and Community Renewal is going to the center on Tuesday to survey the problem.
