'Let's provide them the support': US Education Secretary looks to take education to the next level

U.S. Education Secretary Dr. Miguel Cardona joined News 12's Elizabeth Hashagen this morning to discuss the state of our schools.
Dr. Cardona spoke about the greatest obstacle right now in our education. He also discussed the inequities that exist in education.
"I want to make sure that we get back to a system that looks different than the system we left in March 2020. Because that system didn't serve all students equally," Dr. Cardona says.
He says he wants to take education to the next level, including give more support to students who are struggling, and built a system of education that is holistic.
"Let's provide them the support, so that they can reach their academic potential," Dr. Cardona says.
