Green and white lights now line the streets of Morris Park ahead of the Islamic holiday of Ramadan.
Ramadan begins on Sunday and the lights will be up in the Little Yemen neighborhood from Amethyst Street to Barnes Avenue along Morris Park Avenue. This is the second year the lights have been put up by the Morris Park Business Improvement District.
"We wanted to once again install Ramadan lights for people to feel their celebrations are being honored and treasured as an important part of our community,” said Camelia Tepelus, executive director of the Morris Park BID.
