The LIRR says that a person was hit by a train in Suffolk County Sunday.

The agency tweeted out saying, "An unauthorized person on the tracks was struck by the train just west of Medford Station."

Officials say the train was coming from Ronkonkoma and customers onboard were bused to their final destination.
