Police are seeking a man who they say stabbed a livery cab driver in broad daylight at Prospect Avenue and Crotona Park East Wednesday.
They describe the suspect as a black male wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and green pants.
A spokesperson for the New York State Federation of Taxi Drivers says the victim, 32-year-old Alex Acosta, is seriously wounded and unable to speak.
Police say Acosta was sitting in his car at the intersection around 11 a.m. when the suspect stabbed him in his neck and shoulder. He was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital.
Acosta is a father of two girls.
