The Bronx Rises Against Gun Violence (BRAG) protested near the site where a 2-year-old boy was shot in Fordham..
Sources say the child was walking out of the TD Bank on the corner of Grand Concourse and E. Fordham Road with his mother when shots were fired across the street on Saturday. One of those bullets struck the child.
Freddy Flores, 20, was arrested and charged in connection to the shooting of the child that took place. Police say he fired five shots with a 9 mm handgun. They say no gang ties have been found in connection to the shooting.
“This is an every day thing, with the bail reform… nowadays you get caught with a gun, it’s a free play,” said one concerned resident.
