The Hempstead woman charged in connection to the crash that killed a veteran NYPD officer from Long Island will go before a judge Tuesday.
Jessica Beauvais faces more than a dozen counts, including second-degree manslaughter.
Court papers show her blood-alcohol-level was twice the legal limit when police say she hit and killed officer Anastasios Tsakos, of East Northport, on the Long Island Expressway in Queens in April.
Police say Beauvais admitted to smoking marijuana and drinking shortly before the crash.
