A longtime teacher at Fordham Preparatory School is taking a voluntary, paid leave of absence following accusations of misconduct.
The high school sent a letter to students earlier this week explaining that it received an anonymous letter alleging the misconduct by the teacher.
News 12 is not releasing the name of the teacher, as no charges have been filed in the matter.
However, the Bronx district attorney is investigating.
School officials say they feel there are inaccuracies and lack of detail in the allegations.
The school says it is completely cooperating with the DA's investigation. It says it is not commenting on the matter beyond the letter sent to parents and staff.
