Mothers who have lost their children to gun violence are coming together to offer support to one another and to shed light on the issue of gun violence.
The event was held at the Wyckoff Community Center in Boerum Hill.
It was put on by Yvette Ramos, whose son Kenneth Casilla was killed six years ago.
Casilla was a 20-year-old aspiring rapper who was shot in the head while on a trip with friends in Miami.
Ramos says she lives with the pain every day, but is fighting to put an end to gun violence.
This is the first gathering put on by Ramos, but she says she's hoping to make it a monthly event.
