Earvin "Magic" Johnson, NBA legend and health advocate joined New Yorkers at the Northeast Bronx YMCA on Tuesday to discuss the recent uptick in respiratory syncytial virus, known as RSV.
Helpful resources on RSV were available, as the YMCA was packed with interactive booths to help inform people of how important it is to fight back against RSV infections in older adults.
Magic Johnson has spent over three decades as a passionate public health advocate, empowering others to become more educated about their health.
Each year, roughly 177,000 adults 65 years and older are hospitalized due to RSV in the United States.
