A tenant at 945 Aldus St. in Morrisania says she and her neighbors haven't been getting mail because their postal carrier is too short.
The tenants say they've gone a week without mail delivery, so Lynette Hargrove says she went to the post office to ask why.
"I was actually informed that because my mail person is too short, she cannot deliver the mail," Hargrove says, adding that she hasn't encountered this problem before in 18 years living at the building.
"I am 5-foot-2...this is pretty easy," she told News 12 The Bronx while opening her mailbox. "They are asking our landlord to bring down the mailbox."
News 12 reached out to the U.S. Postal Service, which says building management has been notified that the boxes are not in compliance with postal regulations. Management says new boxes will be installed.
Postal authorities say they are adjusting operations to permit the boxes to continue being serviced without interruption.
Later Tuesday, one tenant told News 12 that mail delivery had started back up.
