The man accused of fatally shooting a Bronx Uber driver in a road-rage incident was captured in the Dominican Republic, according to the Dominican Republic National Police.

Ehinel Troncoso, 24, allegedly killed 55-year-old Issa Isac-Mbolo, a father of four, on New Year's Day in Morris Heights. The NYPD previously released a photo of Troncoso, and the NYSFTD offered a $10,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.

A source came forward at a Jan. 2 presser held by the New York State Federation of Taxi Drivers, saying he may have fled to the Dominican Republic.

The source’s remarks were translated by NYSFTD Fernando Mateo. He said Troncoso had just left a bar in Mott Haven when he noticed damage to his car parked outside before pulling out a gun and firing, striking Mbolo in the head, killing him.

News 12 spoke exclusively with Mbolo’s family.

“We just don’t have words to express, the anger and frustration that this incident created,” Zorome, his younger brother, said.

The NYPD has not released information about Troncoso’s arrest or his extradition to New York City.
