On Jan. 5, 53-year-old George Ennin was stabbed to death while walking to work in Melrose.

Surveillance video shows the moments Ennin was attacked. The footage shows him injured and stumbling, before emergency responders lifted his body onto a gurney.

Ennin did not survive. He leaves behind two daughters.

Police later identified his attacker as 38-year-old Sean Jones.

Jones was charged with murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.

"He killed my heart. It broke my heart. I can't sleep... I am always crying, "said George Ennin's mother, Rose.

On Tuesday, Jones appeared in Bronx Supreme Court. Ennin's mother and two sisters were present.

News 12's camera exclusively captured Jones in court.

"It was so heartbreaking, very painful that somebody took his life, good person, life away from him,," said Ennin's sister, Anastasia.

Jones pleaded not guilty to all charges.

News 12 witnessed Jones act erratically and speak incoherently before officers escorted him out of the courtroom.
Ennin's family says they will not accept a sentence less than life in prison.

"So innocent souls can be saved. Fathers and mothers... so people on the street can live," said Anastasia.

Jones is due back in court on March 17.
