Man accused of stealing $2K, jewelry from Bronx apartment

Police are looking for a man who stole thousands of dollars and jewelry from inside a Bronx apartment.  It happened on Nov. 6 at an apartment building at the intersection of Watson and Evergreen avenues.

Police are looking for a man who stole thousands of dollars and jewelry from inside a Bronx apartment. 
It happened on Nov. 6 at an apartment building at the intersection of Watson and Evergreen avenues.
Police say the 56-year-old victim had just returned home around 5 p.m. when she discovered her apartment had been broken into and ransacked.
Police say the thief got away with $2,000 and assorted jewelry.
Officials have released surveillance images of the suspect, who they say used the building's fire escape to gain entry inside.
