A 25-year-old man was arrested and charged Friday afternoon after police say he raped a 16-year-old-girl in Kingsbridge.

According to authorities, the rape took place in the early hours of Friday morning in the vicinity of Davidson Avenue and 190th Street.

Edward Iciano was charged with two counts of rape.

Sources close to the investigation told News 12 Iciano was known to the victim as an acquaintance.
