Police are searching for the man they say attacked another man with a baton-like object in Van Nest.
The man exited a silver Volvo SUV around 1:30 p.m. on Friday and came running toward the 22-year-old, who was standing in front of 680 Morris Park Ave.
He struck the 22-year-old multiple times in the head with the rod, causing a laceration, authorities say.
EMS took the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi, where he is expected to recover.
The attacker ran back to the Volvo and drove off. Police say he was last seen wearing a brown jacket, gray pants and brown boots.
