Man caught on camera stealing $15K from Brooklyn synagogue

Police are searching for a man caught on surveillance video stealing $15,000 from a synagogue in Kensington.

Police say the burglary happened around 1 a.m. on Jan. 25 at the Congregation Agudath Sholom of Flatbush synagogue on 18th Avenue.

Video shows the suspect walking through the front door before moving through the building. Police say he took cash from multiple donation boxes. The man is then seen heading down on 18th Avenue toward Coney Island Avenue.

No one was inside at the time, and no injuries were reported.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact CrimeStoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
