Police say the 19-year-old who was shot by police after threatening officers last week has been charged.
Shamel Jones was charged with several charges including assault, menacing, and criminal possession of a weapon. 
As News 12 reported, Jones was shot by police after they say he threatened officers with a knife.
Police were searching for Jones on Westchester Ave at the time, after Jones' girlfriend said he assaulted her.
