Police say a man was fatally struck by a car Saturday night in Hunt Points.
Officers responded to a call on the Bruckner Expressway at the Hunts Point Avenue exit around 8:30 p.m.
When they arrived, they found a 48-year-old man unconscious and unresponsive with head trauma.
The man was transported to Lincoln Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators say the man was walking up the exit ramp in the roadway when a car stopped to avoid hitting him. They say the man then fell to the ground.
When a red Toyota SUV drove around the stopped car, the driver allegedly hit the man on the ground.
Police say the driver of the SUV stayed on the scene. No arrests have been made at this time as the investigation continues.
