A 21-year-old Bronx man was found dead on the sidewalk outside of the back entrance to Saint Barnabas Hospital, according to police.
Police identified the victim as Jontay Davis, from the Bronx.
Surveillance video shows a car pull up along Quarry Road just before 2 a.m. The video shows three men get out of the car and carry another man, believed to be Davis, across the street to the hospital.
NYPD officers arrive simultaneously, as the three men get back in the car and take off.
Investigators are now trying to trace the steps of the vehicle before it arrived at Saint Barnabas.
Over the weekend, Mayor Eric Adams deployed an additional 1,000 officers to patrol the Bronx in response to a violent week, that included a mass shooting at Haffen Park.
"It makes me sick, it's not safe... it will not help the best thing to do is restrict people to the use of guns, the less guns on the street the safer people will be, people will still find ways around to get the guns and do what they want to do," said David who lives in the borough.
