A man is recovering in the hospital after being hit by a car on the Grand Concourse on Sunday morning.
A 22-year-old man was crossing the street just after 6 a.m. when he was struck by a man driving a Lincoln.
The 66-year-old driver, who stayed on the scene and is cooperating with police, says he couldn't see the pedestrian because it was too dark outside. The driver says he believes the pedestrian hopped a gate and ran across the street.
The victim was sent to St. Barnabas Hospital.
