A 24-year-old man has died after being shot inside an East New York nightclub on Sunday morning, according to police.

Police say the shooting happened after 4 a.m. at 824 Alabama Ave. Upon arrival, officers found the victim, identified as Jayden Smith of Brooklyn, with a gunshot wound to his chest.

He was transported to Brookdale Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Authorities say two others were also hospitalized with injuries.

No arrests have been made.

Witnesses and residents nearby say the location is known for hosting illegal parties.

Personal items like shoes, purses and wallets were seen on the ground inside the building. Many spoke with News 12 while returning to retrieve their belongings.

One person who asked not to be named said their partner was inside the building at the time and heard "over 30 bullets" being fired.
