An employee at a hibachi restaurant in Concourse Village was punched in the face Monday by a man who refused to pay for his food.

Police say the man left Hibachi Grill and Supreme Buffet on East 161st Street with $70 worth of food, and one of the restaurant employees followed him out in an attempt to stop him.

The man can be seen on video fighting the employee before he throws his food at the victim and other employees.

He then returned to the restaurant a short time later and punched the 21-year-old woman while she was working at the counter area, police say. She was taken to Lincoln Hospital by EMS in stable condition with swelling to her face.
