yesterdayA man has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for an attempted shooting in 2021, as well as conspiracy to distribute narcotics, including fentanyl.
The defendant, Joseph Orengo Jr., confronted a man on a residential street in the Bronx in broad daylight over a drug debt. The man Orengo was speaking with drove away, which is when Orengo fired two shots at him.
Orengo pleaded guilty before a judge prior to his sentencing. He also faces an additional five years of supervised release on top of his prison sentence.
